Subject and target group of the projectThe project’s subject is to create an innovative health resort – tourism cluster Health and Tourism “Health Resorts – Pearls of Eastern Poland”, active in Eastern Poland and conducting cross-border activity.
The H&T cluster will first be active in the Podkarpacie (the communes of Iwonicz Zdrój, Rymanów and Horyniec Zdrój) and Świętokrzyskie regions (Busko Zdrój and Solec Zdrój communes). By the end of the third quarter of 2010, cluster participants will include entrepreneurs and local governments from other health resort communes. By the end of the first quarter of 2011, i.e. after launching the IT communication platform, the cluster will also include entrepreneurs and local governments from the other Eastern Poland regions: Podlaskie – Augustów, Supraśl and Mielnik communes; Warmińsko-mazurskie – the Gołdap commune. By the end of the first quarter of 2011 we will also establish cross-border cooperation with entrepreneurs and local governments from Bardejovskie Kupele (Slovakia), Truskawiec (Ukraine) and Druskienniki (Lithuania). We aim at having – as early as since the fourth quarter of 2010 – not only entrepreneurs offering health resort services participate in the cluster, but also broadly understood tourism services within the scope of various tourism categories (eco-tourism, active tourism, culture tourism), including accommodation and catering services, as well as non-governmental organisations for tourism development and regional development. |
